Use a Sig File on All Your Email

Your web address should be on your business cards, your letterhead, quotes, bills etc. But one of the easiest, most overlooked and cheapest (it’s free) things you can do to promote your business web site is to include a “sig file” at the end of every one of your Emails.
“Sig” or signature files have been around almost as long as Email has, and most popular mail clients have the capacity to add these files built right in. All you have to do is create the file, then insert it in every Email you send.

63% of consumers and small business owners turn to the Internet first for information about local companies 82% use search engines to do so
But…. only 44% of small businesses have a website

Small Businesses Moving to Web Marketing in the Bad Economy

More small businesses are moving to the internet to get the most marketing bang for their buck. The article quotes the Kelsey Group, a Princeton based research firm as saying
” estimates that the percentage of small and midsize home- and trade-services businesses with Web sites will increase to 60% by 2010, up from just 33% today.” And with good reason! Customers now go to the internet before, if ever, they go to the yellow pages or newspaper advertising when they need a product or service. -
